ALEX FOUNTAIN was inducted into the Waterfowl Festival Hall of Fame in Talbot County, MD, this year after more than ten years of dedicated service. Alex served on the Hunting Committee and headed the Calling Contests and the Appropriations Committee. As a member of the Board of Directors for eight years, six as vice president, Alex worked tirelessly to promote projects that have preserved waterfowl and wildlife areas from North Carolina to the Eastern Shore.

FLORENCE NASH LEDNUM has spent 14 years as a professor of biological sciences at Chesapeake College, 12 years as chair of the science department and 34 years in higher education. HENRIETTA HIMMER ZAHROBSKY retired in 2004 after 27 years of teaching secondary level math. She and her husband sold their home near Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to Sun City Center, FL. They are enjoying the activities and ease of living in their retirement community.
DIANE MUHLFELD reports, "after 30 years in Greenwich, CT, a job relocation transferred me to Sarasota, FL. I'm an editor for Belvoir Media Group and oversee Antiques Roadshow Insider and Kitchen & Cook. I'm also editor of a monthly publication called HealthNews. Photo shoots every six to eight weeks bring me to New York, so I can get my New England 'fix.' My son, Jamie, is married and living in LA, working for Wells Fargo; my daughter, Katherine, is a sophomore at Vanderbilt."

PAUL CHRISTIAN SULLIVAN reports that his daughter, Colleen, is in her second year of a fiveyear Ph.D. program in applied developmental psychology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus. AMY REDDISH ROGERS reports that her daughter, Jessica, is doing well as a freshman at Auburn University.
JOY CHAMBERLAIN WEMMER played the wife of an American oil businessman, portrayed by Chris Cooper, in Syriana. She starred as an extra in the movie Annapolis and will play an invited guest in the Clint Eastwood-directed film titled Flags of Our Fathers.
BENJAMIN KOHL and his wife, Kimberly Licercci Kohl '82, had a good 2005. Ben received his Ph.D. in clinical social work from NYU, and they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Ben continues to work for the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services as Director of Multicultural Practice and Research. Kim was recently promoted to Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Financial Ops for International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. When the Kohls are not hard at work, they leave Brooklyn behind for their weekend house in Betterton, MD.
MARK FALONI is the 2006 Toyota Family Literacy Teacher of the Year, selected for his work to improve the literacy and language skills of parents and children. Mark is an educator at Bancroft School in Washington, DC, which is 71% Hispanic. He designed curriculum to motivate at-risk students and developed an English as a Second Language program.

CIARAN O'KEEFFE was married in January 2005 to Gaelle Villejoubert. It was a small registry office wedding with a personal touch. "We hope to have a bigger wedding in France and invite all of our friends, including a few WC alumni." His first book: Ghost Hunters: A Guide to Investigating the Paranormal, comes out this year.
JEFF SAWYER is a project manager at Time Warner Cable in Herndon, VA. "It was quite interesting to run into Glenn Warner '92, who works just down the hall. Small world!"
PHIL MCQUADE and his partner, Victor DeLeon, have formed Annapolis Wireless Internet, which expects to complete a wireless network covering 10 square miles of Annapolis. The network will be totally free—no taxes, no user fees. They plan to pay for the system, which they hope to have running by the end of next year, entirely through sponsors and advertising.

GENE VASSEL is raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their program, called Team in Training, is a combination of fundraising and endurance races. He raised money and competed in the Florida Half Ironman Triathlon (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run) in May. MEGAN KELLY HOUSTON reports that husband, Sam '02, was named Baltimore County Police Department Precinct 06/Towson "Officer of the Year" by the Loch Raven Kiwanis Club. In July 2005, he was promoted to corporal and assigned to Precinct 09/White Marsh.
MICHAEL VIRTS was re-elected as the president of the Class of 2008 at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. Overseas dental missions to Russia have also been a highlight of his professional and personal life. His brother, Tyler '04, has joined fellow KA, Tim Metzler '04, as a securities analyst with Wells Fargo in Columbia, MD. Mike sends his very best to the actives and alumni of KA.

JOE CIONI received the graduate student teaching award for the 2005-2006 school year from the philosophy department at Boston College. "I couldn't believe I won! This award, in turn, sparked the chair of the department to ask me to teach in my dream program: one that integrates philosophy, theology and community service. In addition to meeting three times a week, the twice weekly discussion group will talk about how their readings are at play in their service experience. I am very, very excited to be teaching in this capacity."

MICHAEL HARDESTY is serving in the Peace Corps in Malawi, East Africa, working with Forestry and National Parks and Wildlife to enhance community participation in Malawi's national resources management. Mike's previous international experience includes studying environmental science in New Zealand and working with local environmental groups in Mexico City. He joined the Peace Corps to "experience other cultures and to help those who are willing and needy."
