Chuck Waesche '53 (at right), with his classmate Bill Russell, was the radio voice of the Washington College lacrosse team from 1999 until 2003.

Charles S. Waesche '53 was toasted during Washington's Birthday Convocation in February as a fiercely devoted lacrosse booster and active College volunteer. The Alumni Council recognized the former Sho'men Club president for his loyalty to the program over the years, as well as for his help in creating a $1 million endowment for the lacrosse program and for supporting the new stadium project.

Chuck Waesche's active volunteerism on behalf of Washington College began in 1982. He led the Baltimore Alumni Chapter before becoming President of the Alumni Council. Waesche has twice served as Reunion Co-Chair, was Class Agent from 1994-1998 and represented the 1950s decade on the President's Circle. He is presently Council Member Emeritus, as well as a longstanding member of The 1782 Society.
