Library Joins Digital Age

To the delight of students, faculty and staff, the Miller Library officially reopened its ground level in early February, unveiling the much anticipated multimedia production center and math center.

With guidance from Brian Palmer, the manager of the multimedia production center, the campus community now has access to state-of-the-art multimedia hardware and software. The center also offers a variety of classes, ranging from digital video to graphic design, in which novices and experts can brush up on their multimedia skills.

"The response to the center has been overwhelming," Palmer says. "Our first Adobe Photoshop class had more than 50 people registered when we were expecting around 20. Several faculty and students have also approached me about future projects and how they can take full advantage of everything we have to offer."
