Nordberg Named Vice Chair

At its April meeting, the Board of Visitors and Governors elected one new officer and reelected two of its members to new six-year terms.

Edward P. Nordberg '82 is the new Vice Chair, succeeding John A. Moag, Jr. '77. Moag continues on the Board as a gubernatorial appointee. Nordberg, who is Chief Executive Officer of Medical Office Properties Inc., has been on the Board since September 2003.

Linda Jane Spire and Board Chairman Jack S. Griswold will remain on the Board, along with Norris W. Commodore, Jr. '77 and Daryl L. Swanstrom '69, who were both reelected by the Alumni Association as alumni representatives. Commodore will continue to serve as Board Treasurer.

New board terms begin on July 1, 2005 and continue until June 30, 2011. Board officers are elected to one-year terms running from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006.

In other Board action, Henry C. Beck, Jr. was named Trustee Emeritus. Beck has served on the Board since 1983.
